Rock. Soul. Radio.

Welcome to the Official website for Twinkle and Rock.Soul.Radio!

RSR is Twinkle Yochim, Tony LeClerc, Lenny Brooks and Benny Puckett.

LeClerc and Yochim are long-lost brother and sister. Tony searched for his family and finally found Twinkle. It’s an amazing story. Not only did he find his sister Twinkle, but they had inherited the same deep-groove musical genes! Veteran recording artist, Twinkle (Schascle) Yochim had already having survived major label deals with Warner Brothers records, EMI America and Fame records, the production name for Muscle Shoals Studios.

At the age of twenty eight, when she was found by LeClerc, Tony was also a career musician. (You can find all band members individual bio’s here on this site.  They read like a “who’s who” of Rock and Roll!)  Rock.Soul.Radio! was formed when Tony was asked to put together a band to perform Twinkle’s Warner Bros. release “Haunted by Real Life” in its entirety, as it was recorded.  Tony’s closest friend and band mate of many years, Lenny brooks, was tapped for guitar along with monster drummer, Troy Parrish.

RSR is an unapologetic, straight up guitar rock band, but it goes much deeper than that. There’s as much Aretha Franklin in there as there is Rolling Stones and as much Allman Brothers as there is Aerosmith.

Rock.Soul.Radio, the self-titled album by the band, recorded at Spirit Ranch Studios in Sarasota, Florida, was produced, recorded and engineered by Jerry Jordan, (Madonna, Sheryl Crow, Roger Waters, Rod Stewart, Fleetwood Mac) and Grammy award winner Bud Snyder (The Allman Bros Band, Government Mule, Jeff Buckley) and is getting rave reviews and radio airplay around the world. Some have called Rock.Soul.Radio “a brilliant statement of Retro Rock.”  Others have stated “this is the real deal!  Finally, some REAL Rock and Roll!” Doug Gray, lead vocalist of The Marshall Tucker Band said “only once in a lifetime do you come across a singer as great as this! I want to introduce Twinkle and Rock.Soul.Radio to the world!”

Benny Puckett | Drums

Benny comes from Stuart, VA (Blue Ridge Mountains) and started playing drums at age 8. He played in bars at 12 and marching band, pep band, concert band as well as several rock bands through high school.

He went on the road in ’88 with Mid Atlantic touring band M.O.B. playing 5-6 nights a week. In ’90 he moved to Orlando, FL and formed the band Shogunn with Ken Renolds, working with the top touring agencies at the time. He played Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights and the first ever Grad Night in ’91. They also appeared on USA Up All Night with Gilbert Godfrey and Ronda Shear.

In ’93 he moved to Texas and played country music for a year. Then in ’94 he moved to Jacksonville, FL and joined Big Engine. In 2000 he joined Gutterboy and was playing in 3 other bands part time. In 2003 Benny rejoined Big Engine and played with them until 2014 after which he moved back to Stuart VA and played drums for country music superstar Matt Bosewell (he says that guy is the real deal!).
Then in April 2015 he moved to Sarasota, FL doing nothing until January 2016 when, as legend has it, he joined Twinkle Rock Soul Radio!

Key points Benny wants you to know:
He opened for Motörhead where he met Matt Sorum and went to his house in L.A. and played his kit.

He’s played 3 feet from Cathy Rich (Buddy Rich’s daughter).
He endorses Kelly SHU.

He recorded at NRG studio in L.A. and used the same snare that was used on Nirvana’s “Nevermind”.

Lenny Brooks | Guitar

Lenny Brooks began playing guitar at age 13 when he took a folk guitar class in junior high school to get out of a history class. His father bought him a cheap classical guitar that was hanging on a wall in a bar for $25. In spite of the cheese grater action, he learned a few chords and how to finger pick.  A girl in the class taught him Stairway to Heaven. His sister's boyfriend gave him a cassette of Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs and that was the end of folk guitar!

Being an army brat and moving every 2 years gave Lenny plenty of practice time.  In a constant state of being the new kid Lenny found solace in his music. At 19, fuelled by the love of music and the Gypsy life-style the military provided, he went on the road for a music company called the Young American Showcase. There he met his lifelong friend and partner in crime, Tony LeClerc. After touring together in bands for several years, the two landed in N.Y.C. to write music and pursue a recording contract.

Together they formed one of the biggest- drawing hard rock heavy metal bands in the tri state area called BIG BAD WOLF. After more than a decade playing the N.Y. scene Tony convinced Lenny to move to Fl. where he had recently found his birth family. Tony's sister Schascle (Twinkle) asked him to put together a band to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of her Warner Brothers debut album out of that Rock Soul Radio was born.
